CSS Madness

Ok i think a great number of 3208 students are struggling with the 1st assignment from the number of stressed emotions i gather from their blogs.
Don't worry we're all in it together!
Man i didnt expect this to be uber time-consuming. We had a meeting yesterday from 12pm to 7.30, and today we've gathered since 10am to hopefully complete this asap. One thing good that came out of this blood-and-sweat journey was a desire to learn CSS - no seriously. It's a good tool to learn and my interest in graphic design has just grown. It's just that we, being FASS students don't have the foundational skills in design software and it doesn't help that NUS doesn't offer such certification in multimedia as compared to La Salle or SAE (School of Audio Engineering). I just hope that the department recognises this and try not to pile on loads of work on us when we do not even have the skills to begin with. That being said, i've vented my frustration and though i've felt that i've run into a brick wall, i'm being optimistic about the future assignments we have to do. Getting over assignment 1 will be a welcomed relief.

NM3208 Design Journal

Here i've set up my online design journal for this module entitled Designing Content for New Media. I hope to learn as much as i can about how i can equip myself with the concepts and skills needed to design imaginative content. More than just a mandatory requirement, this blog will assist me in visualising the design processes involved for each assignment and which will serve as a guiding tool. My hands are pretty green to this whole design business and i'm looking forward to gain as much experience as i can in the course of this semester, which will definitely be a bit of a tight squeeze. So i'm praying hard.
